New car park to support children's hospital

Monday, 29 September 2008

To support the construction of the Queensland Children’s Hospital, which will open in 2014, Mater Health Services is building a new car parking facility on the grounds of St Laurence’s College.

Once operational, the Hancock Street Car Park will provide approximately 1500 parking bays for staff and visitors of Mater Health Services, the Queensland Children’s Hospital and St Laurence’s College.

The car park is being built on the oval of St Laurence’s College which will be re-instated on top of the new car park building. The new car park facility will replace the existing multi-level car park in Raymond Terrace and will open to the public once construction is completed in late 2009.
