Hotel Services offers training opportunities

Monday, 20 October 2008

Twenty-eight staff members from Mater’s Hotel Services Directorate were involved in traineeship courses being coordinated through its Training Cost Centre in 2008. This number makes Mater one of the largest health care providers of accredited food and hospitality services training in South East Queensland.

Traineeship courses currently underway include Cert III in Hospitality Operations in Ward Services, Food Services and Housekeeping and Cert IV Business—Frontline Management.

Training Officer Cate Jones said the courses gave staff increased job satisfaction as well as making them more valuable employees.
